"Ties" @ The Aegean Center for the Fine Arts on Paros Island, Greece
My first solo exhibition, Paros Island Greece, since 2007:

It is a great honor for me to have this show as part of the 50-year-celebration of the Aegean Center for the Fine Arts on the island: the place and the people, where I first started my art adventure 20 years ago. I would like to thank John and Jane Pack, the owners of the Aegean Center, for allowing me to work in this magical place, as if I was in a residency program.

In "Desimata-Ties" I am sharing works from 2008 until now: pieces and ideas that are enriched and transformed with new elements discovered during my trips the last 5 years -after I left Greece- as well as new pieces that the space and the island inspired me.

Lastly but most importantly: This show is dedicated to my family, and all of those who support and inspire me through the years. I am grateful!

You can read an article about this exhibition on the fall edition of the magazine "Friends of Paros" here: https://issuu.com/mmkdesignteam/docs/12issue_out_low/28
and a letter from Jane Pack sharing some thoughts about my work at the Aegean Center's blog here: https://aegeancenter.wordpress.com/2016/08/25/dimitra-skandali/

Duration of the show: August 25 - September 22, 2016
