A spiral dark corridor made by black paper, and projection on a piece of Mylar.

An installation made for the "Imagining Time, Gathering Memory: Día de los Muertos 2013" show at Somarts, curated by Rene Yanez. I use “Death” as a metaphysical space where water is the passage to it. According to Homer, a river called Acheron, was the passage to Hades, the God of the Underworld, where dead would be delivered by Charon.

This exhibition was dedicated to those whose lives have been affected by cancer. I wished my installation to be a reminder of a personal struggle that, most often, leads to personal miracles; a spiritual, esoteric journey to honor the dead and celebrate life! At the end, life played strange games with me and reminded me that Thanatos (Death) has always been there -

Dedicated to Dimitris, who passed away, because of cancer on October 11th 2013, the day of the opening.
