A site specific installation while an artist in residency at the Artist House of St Mary's College in Maryland in April 2017. The piece is inspired by the local vegetation, historical maps found at the archives of St Mary's College from 1778 and 1823-24, and from found trash from nearby areas. The piece expanded from inside the studio to the surrounding fields of the Artist house.

During the reception, performers Deirdre Morris and Daniel Bear Davis activated my outside pieces / objects with audio and choreography reflecting personal stories from community members with the theme of water.

Title of my piece responds to the topography of the whole area and the fact that rivers and water were everywhere until the 17th century when the first road was created: the Mattapany Rd, where the Artist House is located. Habitants (mostly Indians at that time) would only use boats to move from one place to another or just not being able to move at all. A reminder of how water connects and separates at the same time.

Dimensions of the inside the studio installation: 6.20 x 9.30 x 15 feet
