My first solo exhibition, Paros Island Greece, since 2007:

It is a great honor for me to have this show as part of the 50-year-celebration of the Aegean Center for the Fine Arts on the island: the place and the people, where I first started my art adventure 20 years ago. Special thanks to John and Jane Pack, the owners of the Aegean Center, for allowing me to work in this magical place, as if I were in a residency program.

In "Desimata-Ties" I am sharing works from 2008 until now: pieces and ideas that are enriched and transformed with new elements discovered during my travels for the last 5 years as well as new pieces that the space and the island inspired me.

Lastly but most importantly: This show is dedicated to my family, and all of those who support and inspire me through the years. I am grateful!

You can read an article about this exhibition on the fall edition of the magazine "Friends of Paros" here: https://issuu.com/mmkdesignteam/docs/12issue_out_low/28
and a letter from Jane Pack sharing some thoughts about my work at the Aegean Center's blog here: https://aegeancenter.wordpress.com/2016/08/25/dimitra-skandali/
